Rob Norton, general manager of Maryland Live!, said the casino is prepared for the competition. Horseshoe's Table Games Service Academy, a 12-week course offered by Baltimore City College, is free. Graduates of the Anne Arundel Community College Dealer School hired by Maryland Live! will get full tuition reimbursement for courses completed through Sept. Maryland Live! and Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore, set to open in August, are offering to pay for dealer training - up to $2,400 in some cases.
Now the casino in Hanover wants the best of the best. Since Maryland Live! opened in 2012, hundreds of prospective dealers have competed for $60,000 jobs at the gaming tables.
